Web26 jan. 2024 · It could be the coolant temperature switch, or it could be the fan relay or fan control module. The fan switch, is located in the thermostat housing. To test it you need to check it's resistance. As the temperature of the coolant goes up the resistance between the two contacts should go down. WebAfter car gets up to temperature go under the hood and check the temp of both radiator hoses just by touching them. If the lower one is cooler than the upper one your thermostat isn't opening and needs to be replaced. $8 part at any automotive shop. Was this answer helpful?
