I've have a Hornady LNL powder measure that can be pretty finicky with longer stick powders. For both .308 and 5.56 Ramshot TAC has proven good results. In the .308 I get up to 2600 fps out of a 20" barrel.

But 36 grains behind a 405 grain plain base cast lead bullet makes a nice white tail load, and 46 grains makes a moose killing 45-70 load. Beyond that I have had good results with 3031 in 7.62x39.
