WebIs the German colloquial use of "Alter" (literally "old guy", but used more like "dude") a calque of Turkish "moruk", meaning the same? I found it a bit hard to find any article on the rise of this term in colloquial German, but to me it seemed the usage originated in the second-generation Turkish youth.
